| A. Geography |

The famous strong winds blowing
from the northeast of the southwest make Hsinchu "The
Windy City", and people from other cities always
keep the indelible memories of the gusts of its powerful
typhoon-liked wind. Hsinchu is the oldest city in the
northern Taiwan. It was the "Treading Center"
of the near area, and also the first developed city of
the north Taiwan; now, it is also the technological city.
With the rich nature sights and the high tech industrial,
it attracted tie of young people to immigrate into the
city. Since the year of 1980, the Science Park, known
as the Taiwan's Silicon Valley, has attracted many high
technology factories in addition to changing the life
style of Hsinchu. |
| B. Transportation |
Buses are available. The scooters and cars
will be more convenient. There are four high way exits
in Hsin Chu City and Hsin Chu County. It takes about one
hour drive to Taipei City.

There are two
education institutions for foreign residents in Hsin
Chu.
